How to Get to the Documents
Activate your license first
At the initial start-up MSIT Connect will request you to enter a license key or alternatively offers to activate a Demo License
Your local MSIT Connect can run many licenses concurrently. Click the Activate License button and copy your license key into the Activate License box.
Where is the license key coming from? License keys are delivered online at the end of each Credit Card purchase or disseminated by the office that arranged the Subscription for your organization. Normally this is your library.
The following steps let you view the purchased documents:
- Download and install the user interface software MSIT Connect.
- Start MSIT Connect from the Windows Start menu. On the first start up MSIT Connect will request you to enter a license key; click "Ok".
- Copy & paste it from the e-mail you received at the end of the credit card purchase or from your organization.
- In the MSIT Connect, click on "Search Libraries" button to open the periodic table.
- Select element combination in the periodic table, specify selection mode (e.g. "as selected + any other element") and click on one of the "View" buttons for each information category (e.g. Ternary Evaluations).
- A new window showing two tabs will opens. One tab shows those documents which are part of the MSIT World Library (i.e. not covered by your license); the other shows those documents which are part of the Personal Knowledge Base (i.e. covered by your license and available to you). To select documents for opening move them from the "Available" box (left side) to the "Selected" box (right side). Click "Ok" and "Download"
- Close the periodic table and open documents in the "Work Session Contents" window.

How to find the accessible documents in case of a limited license
- The recommended way is to look directly into your Personal Knowledge Base.
Click one of the "View" buttons (left of the periodic table) without prior selection of elements- The alternative way is to consult the license information.
Click the button “View License” in the top menuFor your understanding: Your local MSIT Connect installation hosts all documents that you can access in the "Personal Knowledge Base". The "MSIT World Library" tab lists the remaining documents which are not covered by your license and therefore are not accessible.
