- PC with Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (minimum) or Windows XP Service Pack 1 (minimum) or more recent Windows version (legacy systems Windows 9x/ME/NT are not supported)

Quick installation: - Download and open the installation file (“msitc5xx.exe”, size approx. 7 MB);
- After opening the installation file, a setup wizard will guide you through the software setup.
- After the setup is completed you may start MSIT Connect from the Windows Start menu. On first start-up MSIT Connect will request you to enter a license key for activation of your license. Read more on how to activate a license and open documents
Registration as "Named Account" Registration is required for access to non-public community areas: in APDIC, in MSIT and in cooperative research projects. To get registered - send by email the "Named Account ID" displayed in your MSIT Connect installation to license
